Summer Reading

I'd like to suggest a New York Times Best Seller, "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid" for your 3rd or 4th grade readers. As a reading teacher, I highly recommend the book. Your child or student will not put it down! You can find the series at Barnes and Noble, but I think Amazon.com has the best prices.

Make sure your child has their reading books ready for the summer, so check out your local library! Today a reader, Tomorrow a reader!

Caldwell Story Times

Recently, my son and I have been attending Wee Time. The class is designed for 6 to 24 month year- old children. It is a an hour long of reading and singing, with playtime at the end. Both age groups learn to socialize with their peers and also share a snack. No registration is required. I suggest you check it out. I think it is a good experience. The children don't always sit still but they are learning by listening!

My spouse and I are going to a formal event in a few weeks. I am getting a dress, jewelry and everything lined up. West Orange Children Meet the Bunny!

This annual Spring event will be held on Saturday, April 3rd at Pleasantdale School. The fun filled afternoon is kicked off with a performance in the Auditorium, followed by the egg hunt and then the children will be afforded the opportunity to meet the bunny. Helpful Tips for your 1st Baby Registry

Just a few tips I learned and would like to share....

1- Everyone told me don't buy newborn sizes. Well, my son was 7'6'', so my mom had to run out to get smaller onies, etc. They aren't in them for long but I would just get a few pieces because you can always make returns.

2- Newborn half -onies are a must! They really help with the belly button thingy:)

3- Swaddlers and sacks will be your savior! (cotton for warmer weather)

Shopping Moms: Here's a great deal for a stylish and comfortable shoe!

Now that I am running after my 17 month old constantly, I found my old, flat- footed shoes aren't doing me justice! Powder vs Liquid Baby Formula

I have been giving my 3 week old liquid formula since we brought him home. I just recently switched to the powder ( same brand). I feel as if its not as thick as the liquid and feel my little one cant quite make it to his 3 hr feeding since I've switched.Im very precise with the measuring. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way. Hes already at 4 ounces and I was going through the cans way too quick. Any other pros n cons for powder vs liquid.?
