My child has had some trouble lately sleeping through the night. I recently read an article about a study that stated active children fall asleep faster and sleep longer. I do different activities with him during the day such as errands, the playground, and even take him to the Little Gym. Sometimes it still isn't enough.....
I would recommend the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Dr. Marc Weissbluth. This book really explains the science of sleep and how sleep needs change as your child ages. Good luck!

I am due in a few weeks and I am currently reading The Happiest Baby on the Block by Dr. Harvey Karp. This book is geared toward infants and has some very good information. I will definitely check out Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child for after the newborn stage!
