I made my son's flu shot appointment early this year, actually I made it in July, so his first shot of the series would be in the end of September. I thought I was in the clear, but I was wrong! The night before his appointment I received a message, saying that my office was out of shots already! When I called back to see what was up, they told me to call back in 2 weeks but most likely they would only have the swine flu shots available. I am a littel leary of the swine flu vaccination....
Needless to say I am disappointed! I was wondering if anyone has taken their children to the CVS clinic or Walgreens? Do they give infant shots or just adult vaccinations? Also are any of you moms giving both the flu and swine flu vaccinations? I can't decided what is best!
I agree since my doctor told me the same thing but did not mention swine flu shot. I am not getting my son the swine flu shot as they are not yet required by school systems so any shots that I avoid him having is better. I have heard many negative things about the swine flu shots when adults are given them. I would not recomend this shot for toddlers. I have a few friends who have taken their toddlers to allergists and have gotten flu shots that are thermersol free. I maybe taking my son to an allergist for a safer shot but definately not the swine flu. Just wish the doctor had the supply now rather than later however many school systems require the shot be given before december so there is still time.
